In Regards to a Classical Greek Myth

 

 

One of the common allegories centered in a Greek myth is the struggle of an individual, our “Hero” to attain a precious goal of glory. The Greek myth is also structured in such a way that there are distinct phases or “elements” that the hero participates in.  The overall implication of this structure of elements is that a learning tool has been created for the education of the future individual(s) who want to achieve personal honor and glory.  There are 5 overall “Themes” in this “Hero Quest Cycle”.  They are the following:

 

  • A Call to Adventure
  • A Road of Trials
  • Achieving the Goal
  • Return to the Ordinary World
  • Benefits from Achieving the Goal

 

I will not go into detail of each one, do not want to put people to sleep here (if you want please google).

 

Milady Alexandria in her “Slave Proposal” from her blogs of April 3rd – April 17th, in one perspective has created her own version of a “Hero Quest Cycle”.  The overarching goal of glory is to “rise up” from being an ordinary “submissive” to achieve the glory of obtaining the position of a “Collared Slave” as stated in her “Slave Proposal” on the April 3rd blog.

Just like in the “12 Labors of Hercules”, Slavous Maximus is required to successfully complete the explicitly, and succinctly stated requirements of the contract as dictated by Milady Alexandria.  But these trials are lengthy and complex.  Milady Alexandria has overall 17 requirements that are broken down into 3 categories:

  • 6 tasks
  • Foot Slave
  • 6 tasks

Now these Trials or tasks in each of the aforementioned categories are at least daily while others can be that of Her choosing / whimsy.  But they must be completed to Her perfection.  Now remember Hercules only had 12 and he was a Demigod, the son of Zeus, and a mortal woman.

 

Aahh but the trials endure, just like Jason and the Argonauts, in their quest to obtain the golden fleece, or of Perseus, saving Andromeda by using the head of Medusa.  In each myth there are several hazardous obstacles to overcome, and a wrong decision in either of the myths could create disastrous results ending the quest / journey all together.
